Yes.
This is available in both ‘sensor mode’ and ‘self-learning’ mode.
To put in sensor mode, press UP and DOWN simultaneously until the top red LED on the right is lit constantly. In sensor mode, the radiator will monitor for movement in the room and step down the set temperature when there’s no presence detected.
The algorithm is as follows:
For 2017/2021 models, if there is movement detected, the SmartWave heats in comfort. If there is no movement detected, it heats in economy mode.
For the 2015 version, after 12 hours the radiator will switch to anti-frost mode.
To put the SmartWave in self-learning mode, press UP and DOWN simultaneously until the top red LED on the right is flashing. In this mode the radiator will do the same as in sensor mode for a week, but with a slightly different algorithm.
There are two algorithm options: economic profile or comfort profile.
To change which profile the SmartWave uses, press the standby key to turn the radiator on. Then press standby and DOWN simultaneously. A ‘d’ will appear on screen. Wait as the screen cycles through the time settings for the day, the hour (‘h’) and the minutes (‘n’), until PE or PC is flashing on the screen. Use UP and DOWN to adjust between the two profiles. Then wait for the menu to time out.
During that first week of motion sensor heating, the self-learning program remembers the patterns of presence and no presence and will categorise sections of the day into different modes: economy, comfort and anti-frost. This will create a personalised heating program.
Additionally, if left in self-learning mode, the radiator will continue to watch your routine/patterns and will change the program to match.
Finally, self-programming also uses adaptive start meaning the heater will heat the room to the right amount for the right time.
